Love this book! I have been learning guitar for about 5 months now and it’s a great go-to for practicing techniques. I have several other books on guitar which makes learning over complicated compared to this one. Great quality print. Definitely recommend.

If only this book had been around all those years ago, when I first picked up a guitar to be followed but years of picking up and putting down! But hey ho....it’s here now.

The book is very accessible and each of the techniques are broken down into a page each that comes with both tab and standard notation, along with a paragraph from James explaining the technique and how to get the best out of it, including a Tip at the end of each to get the most from it. Each paragraph contains just the right amount on the theory side as well as practical advice but which is written in an informative and encouraging manner. Warm Ups, Notes On Fretboard, Power Chords, Play A Riff In Every Key, Chord Then Solo are just a few of the techniques covered.

With the book comes access to a whole load of backing tracks you can download to practice along with at various tempos. Started off with the Warm Up exercise and was surprised at the difference in playing after even a modest time playing along to the backing track.
All in all would definitely recommend this book as an invaluable practice tool.
